KARACHI: Following a citizen’s complaint of alleged gratification, a team of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Hyderabad led by Inspector Muneer Sheikh raided the passport office in Mirpurkhas on Wednesday.
The team nabbed Muhammad Tauseef, who was allegedly receiving bribe from the complainer, Muhammad Hayat Qureshi. An agent was also rounded up from the passport office. Later in the presence of a judicial magistrate, the bribed money was recovered from the pocket of the accused.
Seizing the office’s computer records, the FIA team in a bid to inquire further against the two arrested, has taken a judicial remand while shifting both the accused to Hyderabad.
