QUETTA: The crisis facing the Balochistan government escalated on Wednesday as Chief Minister’s Adviser Prince Ahmad Ali Ahmadzai sent his resignation to the governor.
Earlier, a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri was submitted to the provincial assembly.
Earlier, Fisheries Minister Mir Sarfraz Domki submitted his resignation, as did Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
The no-confidence motion against Zehri was submitted earlier in the week by lawmakers Syed Agha Raza and Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo containing the signatures of 14 MPAs.
In the motion, the provincial lawmakers mentioned that the resolution is being moved as per “Article 136 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, for a vote of no confidence against the Chief Minister, Government of Balochistan.”
