Coconut oil has been long in use, but it only became popular when Victoria Beckham, Miranda Kerr and other Victoria Secret Angels disclosed that they swear by this ‘miracle product’.

Experts have noted the many benefits of coconut oil. Coconut oil can not only make a good moisturiser, toner, and make-up remover, but it is also healthy for the body and can enhance the sweetness of desserts.

Coconut oil is an absolute essential for the skin and hair, especially in the dry winter season. Coconut can be used as a natural moisturiser as it hydrates the skin and keeps it nourished all-day long. Applying virgin coconut oil directly or mixing a few drops to your daily moisturiser will make the skin glow naturally.

Coconut doesn’t just smoothen your skin but also works as a natural toner. The fats in coconut minimise the pores that attract dirt and bacteria and prevent skin from getting damaged. The toning property of coconut also helps in preventing acne by minimising the pores of the skin.

Coconut oil also doubles as a make-up remover and removes excess oil and dirt from the skin leaving it clean and not dehydrated.

For fast hair growth and nourished, thick hair, coconut oil is highly recommended. The vitamins and essential fatty acids naturally found in coconut oil nourish the scalp and help to remove sebum build-up from hair follicles. Coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft, protecting it against environmental impurities and excess heat. Coconut oil is great for baking as its physical properties match those of butter; firm when cool, and liquid when warm ― making it a natural replacement.
