Governor says IDPs of Khyber Agency settled

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that the internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Khyber Agency are settled back in their native areas and the government is carrying out development and progressive works there.

“Several projects including communication and infrastructure are under process and to be completed soon,” he said during a meeting with the 11-member delegation led by Iqbal Afridi from Khyber Agency. The delegation apprised the governor about prevailing problems of people of Bara subdivision and Jamrud tehsil.

“Providing basic facilities to the tribal people is on the utmost priority of the incumbent government,” the governor said. In this regard, work has been continued on various developmental works. The delegation expressed gratitude to the governor for taking a keen interest in development including in areas of communication, health and education. They also appreciated steps taken by the government for the uplift of FATA.
