PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Engr Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said on Monday that the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Khyber Agency have settled back in their native areas, and the government is carrying out development and progressive works there.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation from Khyber Agency comprising of eleven members and led by Iqbal Afridi. The delegation apprised the governor about prevailing problems of people of Bara subdivision and Jamrud Tehsil.
Several projects including communication and infrastructure are under process and are which are expected to be completed soon, Jhagra said.
“Providing the basic facilities to the people of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) is an utmost priority of the incumbent government,” the governor added.
Members of the delegation expressed gratitude to the governor for taking a keen interest in the development of Khyber Agency in areas of communication, health and education. The delegation also appreciated the steps taken by the government for the uplift of FATA.
