LAHORE: The Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has passed on good wishes to the nation on the eve of New Year.

The CM said that CPEC is bringing economic stability that is making people prosperous, proving to be a real game changer for Pakistan.

“In the last year we have upheld the honour of completing projects with speed, standard, and transparency in Punjab”, he claimed and further added that the army, police and personnel of other forces have kept the flag high by rendering countless sacrifices in the fight against terror.

Shehbaz Sharif said that new energy projects and an end to load shedding are a gift of the government to the people. He said that we have to move forward by dealing with difficult circumstances with the passion of correcting ourselves while learning from the mistakes of past.

“We have to renew the pledge of abolishing the difference between the rich and poor, and strive to provide equal opportunities to everyone”, he said.

“We will also have to review our achievements and failures while greeting the year 2018. Our commitment is higher than the challenges of 2017”, said the chief minister.

He also prayed that the new year might be one of peace, security, and prosperity for Pakistanis.
