Former finance minister Ishaq Dar opposed any National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) for Nawaz Sharif, saying he does not need any NRO as “you do not need it if you have done nothing wrong.”
Talking to Samaa, he said there should not even be a concept of any such NRO in the country. Dar, further clarified his son’s business, saying that he had rightfully given his son a sum of money to start a business, and also declared it on his tax returns.
Ishaq Dar and his son Ali Dar have both denied the accusatory statements levelled against the former finance minister by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan when earlier he claimed to have found a new piece of evidence against the Dar family, and called the former finance minister as the “frontman” in Nawaz Sharif’s alleged corruption.
