KHANEWAL: Two persons were killed and eight others were injured in two separate road accidents reported in the city here on Saturday.
According to the Rescue 1122 sources, Tariq, son of Muhammad Din of Jhang city, was returning home from Khanewal city along with his younger brother named Farooq in a car. On their way home, a speeding mini truck collided with their car near Mastpur. Resultantly, they sustained fatal injuries and died on-the-spot. Rescue 1122 shifted the bodies to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Kabirwala.
In another incident, five people including Ubaid, son of Faiz, Liaqat son of Yaqoob, Manzoor son of Danial, Bushra, wife of Faiz and another sustained serious injuries in a collision between a passenger bus and a truck near Mian Channu.
Rescue officials have shifted the injured to the THQ Hospital in Mian Channu.
