KARACHI: According to reports, five suspected Daesh terrorists were killed on Saturday in a police encounter in Ayub Goth, Karachi.
The suspects were arrested after they opened fire on the police during a raid led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rao Anwar at a house near the Super Highway.
“Five Daesh terrorists, who formerly belonged to al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), were killed during the encounter,” said Anwar.
The SSP further informed that one of the terrorists has been identified as Qari Habib alias Abdul Salam Burmi.
The police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, as more terrorists are suspected to be present in the vicinity.
