ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Friday that Pakistan has turned peaceful now which has made it possible to hold national level sports events.
The prime minister was addressing the participants of the Quaid-e-Azam inter-provincial games’ ending ceremony here.
PM Abbasi said that due to the efforts of the civil-military leadership it is now possible to hold sports events peacefully.
While congratulating the participants, the prime minister urged the youth to clinch medals at the Olympics for the country.
In the same vein, PM Abbasi told the youth that apart from the medals, it is equally important to have participation in the international sports events.
The premier said that approval has been given for the establishment of a sports university in the country.
