Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa responded to the request made through a video message by an ailing child, Ahsan Hussain,  and instructed Lahore Corps Commander (LCC) General Aamer Riaz to visit the boy at the hospital.

Within the next two hours, LCC visited the ailing boy at the Children Hospital Lahore where he has been admitted since December 1. The army authorities later shifted him to CMH Lahore for further treatment.

Earlier, a 14-year-old boy, Ahsan Hussain, (a student of grade 9)  had requested the COAS and Lahore LCC Aamer Riaz via video message to help him with his heart transplant, since his family could not afford the costly treatment.
