Singer Rihanna’s 21-year-old cousin Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne was shot to death in a shooting in her native Barbados on Boxing Day.
In a series on photographs on Instagram, Rihanna, mourned the death of her cousin who she supposedly ‘just’ spent Chrsitmas with.
Under the pictures, she wrote, “RIP cousin… can’t believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms! never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body! Love you always man! #endgunviolence”

Alleyne was walking through a track in the St Michael’s area of Barbados around 7 pm on Tuesday night when he was approached by a man and shot several times. The man then fled the scene, and has not been identified.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle, but succumbed to his injuries.
The post has received hundreds of thousands of comments of support and condolence.
Police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with information on the incident to contact them. Gun violence has dramatically increased in America. The masses are now calling out to ban guns in the country especially after the October Las Vegas shooting in which a gunman opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers at a music festival leaving 58 people dead and 546 injured.
