PESHAWAR: A nine-month-old infant who was kidnapped by house servants from the Hayatabad area was recovered by the Police. The accused couple was arrested in a joint-operation with the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
A complaint by the infant’s mother, identified as Maryam, was registered with the Hayatabad police station on December 26, stating that her servants Sahar Gul and his wife Alyia had kidnapped her infant child at gunpoint.
A First Information Report (FIR) was registered by the police and an investigation was started.
The couple was found in the Tehkal area of the city during a raid carried out by the police. The child was also recovered safely during the raid and handed over to the parents.
The police arrested the accused couple and also seized a gun and Rs11,000 stolen cash.
