SHEIKHUPURA: At least two children were burnt alive and one other sustained injuries when a fire swept through a house in Sheikhupura district early Wednesday morning.
According to the rescue sources, the fire started in a room of the house in Rasool Nagar neighbourhood of the city, engulfing the building in no time.
As a result, two children were burnt to death while one other sustained injuries and was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital for medical attention.
After being informed of the fire, rescuers and firefighters rushed to the site and began the operation to douse the blaze.
The identities of the deceased and injured couldn’t be ascertained. The cause of the blaze was also not clear.
