NASEERABAD: The activists of Qaumi Awami Tehreek (QAT) staged a rally in Naseerabad on Wednesday against police torture on teachers and sugarcane growers who are demanding their due rights.
The party activists started a rally from Syed Mohalla and marched through different roads of the town, located near Larkana. The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the Sindh government and the police.
Speaking on the occasion, Zamir Mugheri, Hafeez Tunio, Gulshan Inqilabi and Akhtiar Khaskheli lashed out at the Sindh government for ruthlessly baton-charging teachers and sugarcane growers, who are demanding regularization of their jobs and fixing a reasonable sugarcane rate in Sindh, respectively.
They demanded that the provincial government should submit to the demands of the teacher and the sugarcane growers; otherwise, the scope of their protest would be widened across Sindh.
