Overseas Pakistani gets possession of his house worth Rs 10 mn

LAHORE: Due to the efforts made by Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, an expatriate Pakistani has got back the possession of his house worth Rs 10 million.

OPC Vice Chairperson, Shaheen Khalid Butt and Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti informed that Arshad Bashir who settled in the United Kingdom, lodged a complaint that the tenant, without his consent had started using his house for commercial purposes.

The tenant had also refused to vacate the house situated at Tipu Road, Chaklala, Rawalpindi. This complaint was referred to the District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) Rawalpindi and with the help of the members of DOPC, the said house was vacated and handed over to its owner.

Shaheen Khalid Butt and Afzaal Bhatti further told that expatriate Pakistanis can contact the OPC at any time for the redressal of their complaints.
