LAHORE: A function was held here on Monday at Services Hospital by the nursing community to mark the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
Chief Nursing Superintendent Ms Samina Yasmeen, while addressing the ceremony, said that teachings of Quaid like faith, unity and discipline for all of us to follow.
She said that the struggle of Quaid-e-Azam became fruitful, and a separate state was established for the first time in the name of Islam. She lauded the services of nursing community and said that in the last days of Quaid’s life, it is an honour for us that nurses looked after his health and provided him with the necessary medical facilities.
She added that on Quaid-e-Azam Day, all nurses should uphold the teachings of their great leader and continue to work for the ailing humanity with same zeal and zest.
On this occasion, President Young Nurses Association Shamshad Niazi, Lubna Yasmeen, Asma Taaj, Sajida Parveen and Fahmida Haider and a large number of nurses were present where the birthday cake of Mohammad Ali Jinnah was cut.
They congratulated each other and appreciated the effort of Chief Nursing Superintendent Ms. Samina Yasmeen of holding such graceful function which provided them with the opportunity to refresh their determination to work as per the teachings of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, for the betterment of this beloved land, Pakistan.
