KABUL: At least seven civilians were killed in a roadside mine blast in southern Helmand province early Sunday, a source confirmed to TOLOnews.
In addition, three other civilians were wounded.
The incident took place in Marjeh district of the province after a civilian vehicle hit a roadside mine according to the source, adding that “women and children are also among the dead.”
In the meantime, Omar Zwak, a spokesman for the provincial governor has confirmed the blast but said that “there are no exact details about the number of the casualties yet.”
The victims have been taken to the nearby hospital.
