LEAs arrest three alleged dacoits from Karachi, Sukkur

KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) late Saturday night arrested three alleged dacoits during two operations conducted in Karachi and Sukkur, respectively.

Two dacoits were arrested in an injured state during an encounter in the metropolis’ Landhi No. 1 locale, police said, adding that they were detained as they attempted to loot citizens.

Weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the detained suspects, LEAs added.

Meanwhile, a dacoit, Irfan (alias Farooq), was arrested after a shootout with Sukkur security officials.

Police officials added that they recovered weapons and a stolen motorcycle from the suspect’s possession.

Later on, the dacoit was shifted to the Civil Hospital, police noted.
