- JuD chief visits NA-120, opens MML office at Mohni Road
LAHORE: Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on Sunday said he would defend Pakistan at every cost from the dangerous nexus of the US, India and Israel which, according to him, had been plotting to balkanise the country.
Addressing a gathering in the NA-120 constituency where he inaugurated the office of his political party Milli Muslim League, Saeed issued a call for launching a movement for the liberation of Palestine, Kashmir and Qibla Awwal (Jerusalem).
The JuD chief said the enemy of Qibla Awwal and Kashmir was also the enemy of the Pakistani nation. “Long war between Islam and non-believers still goes on. We have to face the enemy,” he added.
Saeed said that enemies of Islam wanted to spread sectarianism and provincialism in the country, adding that they were also casting an evil eye on the country’s nuclear programme.
Saeed urged the people to end mutual quarrel and promote unity under Kalma Tayyaba, adding that “we have to create an environment of unity and unanimity in Pakistan”.
Saeed affirmed that a strong Pakistan was the fundamental agenda of the Milli Muslim League.
Upon his arrival to the constituency, the JuD chief was warmly welcomed by locals of the area. He was showered with rose petals as he formally inaugurated his party’s office at Mohni Road.
Public gatherings were held in Kasur Pura, at Chaudhry Park and Outfall Road by supporters of the MML.
Large number of people joined these gatherings and shouted slogans in favour of the Milli Muslim League.
MML backed candidate of NA-120 Muhammad Yaqub Sheikh, Abul Hashim Rabbani, Hafiz Khalid Waleed and other representatives were also present on the occasion.
Muhammad Yaqub Sheikh, Abul Hashim Rabbani, Hafiz Khalid Waleed, Professor Ibrahim, Zulifqar Bhutta, Kamran Butt, Christian leader Karamat Maseeh, Akram Sardar and other local personalities also addressed the gatherings.
