QUETTA: At least two people were killed while two others were injured as a result of firing on a vehicle in Quetta.
According to media reports, some labourers belonging to Hazara Community were on their way when on Kali Na Khail near western bypass when some unknown armed masked men opened fire upon their vehicle.
As a result, four people sustained serious injuries, who were rushed to the nearby Combined Military Hospital. However, two, including Habibullah and Abdul Hasan, succumbed to injuries, while two others were said to be in a critical condition.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, expressing deep grief, strongly condemned the firing incident and sought a report from the inspector general.
He also directed the IG to make sure foolproof security measures are put in place in the province.
