KARACHI: Samir Mir Shaikh, a well-known philanthropist and industrialist of Karachi, announced his joining of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Saturday.
Samir Mir Shaikh is an active member of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and Higher Education, Science and Technology Chairman at FPCCI. He is also on the board of many educational institutions and very well connected with the business and diplomatic community.
He is also the youngest leader to receive 100 awards from different dignitaries like the prime minister, governors, federal ministers, provincial ministers, chancellors and diplomats.
The central committee congratulated Samir Mir Shaikh on joining PPP.
On this occasion, Sindh PPP President and Sindh Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Sindh Minister Mansoor Hussain Wassan, Sindh Minister Mukesh Chawla, Sindh Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh Minister Sikander Shoro, Waqar Mehdi, Rashid Rabbani, Senator Murtaza Wahab, Saeed Ghani, Humera Alwani, Qasim Soomro, MPA Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi, Senator Aajiz Dhamrah, Siddiq Abubhai, Noman Shaikh, MPA Anwar Ahmed Khan Mahar , Javed Nayab Laghari and members of the central executive committee, presidents of all wings and other senior members of the party were present.
PPP top leadership congratulated and welcomed Samir Mir Shaikh on his announcement to join the party.
