KARACHI: A man died and eight other staff members at a shopping mall in North Nazimabad became unconscious on Friday when they got exposed to toxic fumes.
Yahya, 24-year-old, was exposed to a strong smell of fumigation along with other staff members when they entered the workplace. Up to the evening, every employee felt suffocated and they informed a staffer.
According to the police report, Yahya passed away on the way to a hospital.
Police arrested four suspects including the store manager.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased accused the store manager of not taking the deceased for treatment.
Duty officer Haideri police station, Khalid Mughal, said that cases will be filed against the suspects after proper investigation.
