SIALKOT: The local court has sent five accused women to local jail on a two-week judicial remand on charges of going abroad illegally and reaching back Pakistan after being deported from Turkey and Iran.

According to the senior officials of the FIA, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had arrested village Kotli Ramdas-Sialkot based Shehnaz Bibi and her four young daughters Zoha, Khansa, Asma and Hafsa upon landing at Sialkot airport here two days ago after being deported by the Turkish immigration authorities for illegally entering into the Turkish territory.

The FIA officials added that these women had denied links with any banned militant organisation including ISIS, during the interrogation by the different intelligence agencies.

FIA produced these women before the local court and sought their two-week long judicial remand for illegally going to Iran and Turkey without legal travel documents, and reaching back after being deported from Turkey.

According to the FIA Inspector Waqar Awan, further investigations were underway in this regard.
