PPP preparing to observe Benazir’s 10th death anniversary at Liaquat Bagh

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Rawalpindi chapter is all set to observe the 10th death anniversary of former prime minister and party leader Benazir Bhutto at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, on Wednesday.

Talking to journalists, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Rawalpindi President Baber Khan Jadoon said Qu’ran Khawani will be held at 1 pm in the afternoon, and dua will be offered at 3 pm.

The local leadership is expected to attend the ceremony, while PPP Divisional President and former minister Sardar Saleem Haider would be the chief guest.

On this occasion, speakers would highlight the achievements of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, who struggled for the democracy and sacrificed her life for the people of the country. Later, a free meal is also to be distributed among the people, he said.
