SUKKAR: A police constable, said to be intoxicated, on Friday allegedly set his sister and a neighbour on fire in Sukkhar. According to a family member, the disagreement emerged after the constable was highly displeased over the invitation given to a few guests on his nephew’s wedding.
The constable’s brother told a news agency that the victims, Nausheen and Arbeli, were taken to a local hospital in a critical condition by their family members before being shifted to Karachi.
The accused, Mehboob Bhutto, is a member of the Sukkur police force. The superintendent police of Sukkhar assured that a case will be registered against the constable.
A First Information Report (FIR) was registered the accused’s brother Shahid Ahmed Bhutto under Sections 324 and 504 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
