Karachi police website defaced allegedly by Indian hackers

KARACHI: The official website of Karachi police was hacked on Friday, allegedly by Indian hackers. However, later in the evening, the website was restored.

The website http://www.karachipolice.gov.pk was hacked by a group calling itself “Mallu Cyber Soldiers”, with the phrase “Hacked By D3VIL S3C” written above a depiction of a human skull.

“We love India” appeared on the website in capital letters after it was hacked. The website also played Indian national anthem when anyone accessed the website.

A team of Indian hackers had defaced the official website of PPP earlier in June, and such incidents of hacking have been happening since 1998.

The Lahore High Court’s website was hacked twice by hackers from across the border last year.
