Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Ali Raza Abidi, who left the party following a failed MQM-PSP merger, rejoined the party on Friday, saying, “All the disgruntled members should fulfil their responsibility just like I did.”

Addressing a news conference at Abidi’s residence, MQM-P Convenor Farooq Sattar said that he did not go to anybody’s house but only came to Abidi’s house, as “it was essential for me [the party] to give a chance to Ali Raza Abidi”.

According to media reports, Dr Sattar will also announce to induct Abidi into the party’s central decision-making section.

It may be mentioned here that the MQM-P, after disassociating itself with the London-based leadership, has faced several dissensions by its seasoned leaders, who either quit the party due to personal reasons or joined the Mustafa Kamal-led PSP.
