‘Did Rangreza really need more of us?’ – nation’s corrupt politicians protest against ‘Lollywood propaganda’

ISLAMAMABAD/LAHORE/KARACHI/PESHAWAR/QUETTA – Nation’s corrupt and bad politicians took to the streets late Thursday night and Friday morning after watching the premier of Rangreza, which many of them deemed to be the ‘latest manifestation’ of ‘propaganda in Lollywood’.

“We are being unfairly targeted!” read a placard as corrupt politicians gathered outside the Parliament early Friday morning.

“I mean Verna was bad enough in how it transformed a rape survivor’s story into a message on how people shouldn’t vote for us,” a senior corrupt politician said while talking to The Dependent outside the Karachi Press Club.

“But now Rangreza? What next a film version of Punjabi stage shows also taking the moral high ground at our expense?” the corrupt politician asked.

Protests outside the Lahore Press Club included some of the embattled members of the Punjab government, currently dealing with the backlash of the Lahore High Court’s Model Town incident report.

However, corrupt politicians at all levels were present during the protests on Friday.

“This propaganda needs to stop,” a very high level Punjab minister said while talking to The Dependent.

“We can deal with the opposition parties alliances that are forming, but we can’t deal with the Lollywood alliances,” he added
