Boy torched in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A teenage boy on Thursday was set on fire by his friends in Faisalabad.

According to reports, 11-year-old Nazar was on his way to home when his friend Umar and his associate Rafaqat tried to snatch money from him.

Upon resistance, Umar and his friend sprinkled petrol on him and fled the scene.

Nazar received critical burn wounds on face and arms before the blaze could be put out. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Station House Officer (SHO) Shoaib Sheikh arrested one of accused Rafaqat and the other one was on run. The police registered a case of the incident at the respective police station.
