BAHAWALPUR: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said Wednesday that “while we are committed in (the) war on terror, we cannot be complacent about our preparations for response to conventional threat”.
According to a statement released by the military’s media wing, the army chief made these remarks during his visit to Bahawalpur to witness winter collective training exercise of mechanised formation.
Commander Bahawalpur Corps Lieutenant General Sher Afgun briefed the COAS about the training of the Corps for assigned operational tasks, the Inter-Services Public Relations said in the statement.
The COAS also appreciated high standards of training and professional skills displayed by the formation, concluded the statement.
