A clash between young doctors and paramedical staff at the Sheikh Zayed Hospital on Wednesday left a doctor and a paramedic injured.
According to reports, the clash broke out when young doctors tried to enter a professor’s room but were stopped by members of the paramedical staff. A source confirmed that the professor was not in his room at the time of the clash.
Later, the hospital administration called the police to pacify the situation after property inside the hospital was damaged in the violent clash.
In the aftermath of the scuffle, all emergency services were suspended at the hospital and patients continued to suffer as the cash counter for the emergency ward was also closed to avoid any untoward incident.
