KARACHI: Karachi that reported two cases of polio this year marked its last anti-polio vaccination campaign of 2017 on Wednesday.
Talking to journalists, Sindh Emergency Operations Centre Polio Coordinator Fayaz Jatoi said that the campaign will be continued till December 25.
“Since the second of the two cases was recorded only recently in the Gadap area, it is, therefore, crucial to increase the intensity of the campaign,” said Jatoi and added, “Around 1,850,000 children from 167 union councils will be vaccinated by some 3,500 health workers in a campaign held under adequate security measures.”
