ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while issuing summons once again to the Pakistan internat9onal Airlines (PIA) Managing Director (MD) and Civil Aviation (CA) secretary has adjourned the hearing of the PIA MD Musharraf Rasool appointment case until February 01.
A single bench of the IHC led by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani took up the hearing of a petition challenging the appointment of MD PIA Musharraf Rasool on Wednesday.
At the inception of hearing, petitioner senator Azam Swati along with his counsel advocate Mohsin Kamal appeared before the court.
The counsel for the petitioner told the court that Musharraf Rasool has caused heavy loss to PIA. He has no personal grudge against him and it is his duty to save the institution from destruction.
He argued that the appointment of the MD is illegal and due to this reason PIA is incurring losses on a daily basis.
He prayed to the court to nullify the appointment of Musharraf Rasool.
The court after hearing the arguments ordered for issuing summon notices to the respondents again and adjourned the hearing of the case till February 1.
