Terror bid foiled, bomb defused in Zhob

 

QUETTA: The police foiled a major terror bid as it recovered a bomb planted by the roadside which was defused by bomb disposal squad (BDS).

Police said that unidentified miscreants had planted a bomb by the roadside in Kili Tarkha area of Zhob district in Balochistan.

The police found the bomb after spotted by the passersby and BDS was called in which defused the bomb.

The security forces have foiled second such terror bid in two days as the Frontier Corps (FC) a day earlier found and defused a 12-kilogram bomb in a Quetta neighbourhood.

On Sunday, at least nine people including three women were killed while 43 others injured when two gunmen wearing explosives-filled vests attacked Bethel Memorial Methodist Church at Zarghoon Road in Quetta.
