KARACHI/HYDERABAD: At least six people were killed and several were injured in various road accidents in Sindh on Monday.
In Nooriabad, as many as five people were killed and six injured in a collision between two vehicles on the Super Highway.
According to police and rescue officials, the collision took place between a passenger van and a dumper due to fog and speeding. The passenger van was on its way from Karachi to Sukkur.
The dead and the injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital Hyderabad.
Similarly, a man was killed and four others, including two women, were injured when a car overturned in the Khayaban-e-Shaheen area of the city.
According to rescue sources, 35-year-old Noor-ul-Hussain was killed while Rizwana, Zainab Noor, Rais, and Amanullah sustained severe injuries when their car overturned.
The body and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man, Hasham, suffered serious injuries when his motorbike slipped on a road near Razaqabad. He died on the way to the hospital.
In another accident, at least 10 people, including two women and a child, were injured in collision between van and a car at Indus Highway near Lakki Shah Saddar in Sehwan.
Separately, in Sajawal, a speeding passenger bus and a Suzuki van collided head-on, resultantly five people were injured.
