PTI not in favour of extra constitutional steps: Chaudhary Sarwar

LAHORE: Former governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that the future of “made in corruption” persons has become obvious.

“We are not in favour of any extra-constitutional step. The corrupt regime will end with the power of such people in Pakistan,” he said. The former governor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee member said this while addressing a rally in Shahdara.

He said that democracy is a system of people, by the people and for the people. Without addressing the core issues of the people and bringing prosperity, peace, and development in their lives, democracy has no value because it gets power from the approval of people,” he stated.

“Pakistan cannot become a prosperous nation without ending the rule of thieves and eradicating corruption. We will not allow anyone to play with the aspirations of people or to take advantage of the political chaos since the solution lies only in a ballot. PTI chief Imran Khan is the most popular leader of the country and he will bring a real change with the help of people support and votes. We are democratic people and our struggle for democracy depicts that we have always strived to empower the vote and ballot.”
