LAHORE: Prices of tomatoes and chicken have hiked up owing to plummeting temperatures in winter.
According to the details, the price for a kilogram of chicken has hit at least Rs 234, while the price of tomatoes has jumped to Rs 82 per Kg in dedicated Sunday markets which is a sharp increase of Rs 22 within a week.
However, at local retail, the price tomato has soared to Rs 100 per Kg.
Adding to that, capsicum stands at Rs 100 per Kg, onion at Rs 46 per Kg, potato at Rs 33 per Kg while peas are being sold at Rs 75 per kg in dedicated Sunday markets.
