LAHORE: Former provincial minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Punjab president Abdul Aleem Khan has described Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbassi as ‘head of mafias’ and said that he (Abbassi) is issuing ‘character certificate’ to others.

“In fact, he (Abbassi) is out senses after getting defeat in a petition against PTI Chairman Imran Khan and now he is trying to become a spokesman of the Punjab chief minister,” he said in a statement. First, Hanif Abbassi should remain ready to get the sentence of smuggling of narcotics and after that should come in confrontation with the PTI, he said.

He said that actually the ruling party could not get ready a single leader from Lahore and imported the ‘notorious one’ from Rawalpindi to compete with him. Aleem said that everyone knows very well that from the Merto bus to the Orange Line, every project in Punjab was ‘full of corruption’ and the Punjab government would have to be answerable before the courts.

He said that he still stands by his words which he said in yesterday’s address in Okara and everyone including the Punjab chief minister would have to be accountable. He claimed that ‘all’ the media already pointed out that every company in Punjab was looting the national exchequer in the name of good governance and shifting funds out of the country through kickbacks.

He questioned that if he did something wrong what the government was doing for the last nine years and why no action was taken against him. He claimed that the Railways minister was also accepting the failures of the present government but he should remember that the masses would not spare them at any cost and recover a single penny from them.

He reaffirmed his determination that such cheap tactics cannot stop the Tehreek-e-Insaf to curb corruption from the society. In 2018, people of Pakistan under the leadership of Imran Khan would bring country-wide change, he claimed.
