SHIKARPUR: Former provincial minister and senior politician Agha Taimoor Khan has distanced himself from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Talking to a private TV channel on Sunday, he said that he and his family remained affiliated with PPP for four decades but due to self-directed policies of the leadership, he was forced to part ways with the party.
He ruled out to join any other political party and said that he will contest 2018 general election as an independent candidate.
It should be mentioned that Agha Taimoor’s grandfather Ghulam Nabi Pathan served with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and his father Agha Tariq Khan Pathan served with Benazir Bhutto.
