Ahead of Manchester City’s 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, winger Raheem Sterling was reportedly attacked and racially abused.

Prior to the game, the former Liverpool man arrived at City’s training ground, where the team set off from for the evening’s game.

According to The Telegraph, the player was kicked by a man who appeared to be waiting on him at the player’s entrance before being called a ‘n****r’.

After receiving abuse while in his car, Sterling got out to ask the man what the problem was, at which point he was then allegedly kicked and met with further abuse.

The club have not commented on the issue and it is unclear whether they will report the incident to Greater Manchester Police.
