Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh Women Wing President Nusrat Wahid has accelerated the party membership drive in Karachi, after the Supreme Court of Pakistan exonerated party chief Imran Khan of corruption charges.
Prominent personalities, leaders of different parties and social workers from interior Sindh as well as from Karachi are joining PTI, she said in a statement on Sunday. Korangi district’s senior citizen Haji Muzamil’s sister Samia and 50 other people joined the party. The new party members vowed to play their due role for strengthening the party.
Speaking at the membership ceremony, Nusrat said that PTI would soon pull the country out of turmoil. “The economic situation of Pakistan is worst now as Nawaz Sharif has turned the country impoverished. The rupee is getting devalued day by day while the US dollar is going up and up,” she said.
She said that the country would soon face the storm of price hike due to present government’s lackluster policies.
