Judiciary is supported by the whole nation: Chaudhary Sarwar

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee member and former governor Punjab, Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar has said that corrupt people cannot abstain accountability by threatening the national institutions as the whole nation stands with the Supreme Court.

“Corrupt people are responsible for the exacerbated situation of governance and other national problems which is why the speed of accountability must be enhanced”, he said.

“The membership drive will enhance the performance of the party and enable workers to improvise the electoral campaign in the next elections”, he said during an address while visiting the membership camp conducted by Zubair Niazi and Zain Sheikh in Nishat Colony Lahore.

He said that the people of Pakistan have an unflinching trust in the leadership of a truthful leader like Imran Khan because he has the ability and will to liberate the country from the crisis of economic downfall, bad governance, corruption, the sprawl of extremism, incumbent energy crisis and the fragile situation of delivering public service.

While replying to the on-going criticism against the judiciary, he said that the parliamentary democracy resides on the efficiency of the three pillars of state: legislation, executive, and judiciary.

“Democracy is the name of protecting the people’s interest by the active engagement of all pillars of the state on all levels by getting stimulus from a unanimous consensus of people in the durability of a democratic set up”, he said.

“Unfortunately, in Pakistan, the executive and legislature have failed to perform their duties, so the judiciary has no other option left except intervening in order to ensure the application of the rule of law under the constitution of Pakistan. Only misguided and misdirected people with mollified intentions are criticizing judicial decisions. The people have ulterior intentions to sabotage the process of accountability”, said Chaudhary Sarwar.

He also added that Imran Kha the is the last beacon of hope the for the nation and he will continue rendering his services for people of Pakistan.
