Four people die as car crashes into rickshaw in Kasur

KASUR: At least four people were killed and one was injured when a high-speed car crashed into a rickshaw in Kasur on Sunday, the media reported.

According to the rescue sources, the accident took place on Ferozepur Road when the speeding car crashed into the rickshaw, leaving four people dead on the spot.

Another one who sustained injuries was rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

The names and ages of those killed in the accident couldn’t be made available immediately.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident and extended condolences to the bereaved families.

He issued directives for the provision of best possible treatment to the injured.

Road accidents are common in Pakistan due to the poor condition of vehicles, rash driving, underage driving, bad condition of roads, dim or no street lights and violation of traffic rules.
