Punjab govt claims education growth rate in light of recent report

LAHORE: Punjab government has claimed that the province has shown growth rate in the education sector, in light of a recent report.

According to Punjab government sources, Alif Ailaan a nonprofit organisation working in the field of education in its 2017 District education rankings has declared Punjab leading the way in two of its critical range of indicators.

Punjab leads in Education Scores, at 70.01 and also leads other provinces in the provision of education to primary and secondary age children. The Education Score is calculated through independent, third-party data collected by ASER (Annual Status of Education Report).

Similarly, in the rankings of middle school infrastructure, Punjab leads at 92.66 with eight out of top 10 districts.
