PPP to hold rally in Multan today

MULTAN: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) is set to demonstrate it’s political strength in Multan’s Qasim Bagh stadium on Friday.

Arrangements have been finalised and the venue has been decorated with party flags and posters. As many as 80,000 chairs have been placed at the venue of the public meeting.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address the rally, besides PPP’s Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Opposition leader Khursheed Shah, former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, Raja Pervaiz Asharf, Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood and other party leaders are also expected to address participants at the gathering today.

The city administration has inspected all security arrangements for the event by late night, besides deploying police personnel at and around the venue.

All activists and workers of the PPP kept on rallying across the city on Thursday night in an attempt to mobilize masses to attend today’s public gathering.
