LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee member and former Punjab governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Thursday said that the rulers will themselves be responsible if the present parliament was unable to complete its tenure.
He was addressing a delegation of the party’s youth wing headed by Chaudhry Ubaidur Rehman.
He asked the delegation if any parliament could sustain its glory and prestige when the prime minister and other ministers of a country remained dissociated from it.
He said that PTI continued to stand by the rule of law and Constitution till the present day, adding that democracy would only be strengthened if corruption was eradicated. He said that the struggle against corruption would become successful under the leadership of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
He further said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had lost its credibility due to the false claims it made, including their failed assurances of eradicating gas load shedding.
