The action thriller sequel to Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai has supposedly not been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for release in Pakistan.
While the film has been distributed overseas and the promotions are on in full swing, it has now been learned that the film might not release in Pakistan as the film revolves around ISIS and has Pakistan related scenes in the film.
According to the reports, the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, National History and Literary Heritage has also refused to grant a No-Objection Certificate for Tiger Zinda Hai after the CBFC’s recommendation. Sources add that the chairman of Pakistani CBFC said that the film was not cleared as the image of Pakistan and its law enforcement agencies has been compromised in the film.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film starres Salman Khan as an Indian agent and Katrina Kaif as a Pakistani spy. This sequel also features a track by singer Atif Aslam.
Tiger Zinda Hai is slated to release on December 22.
