Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has alleged that Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) is habitual of blaming others for its misdeeds.

Talking to the media outside the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday, Aitzaz Ahsan denounced the statement of National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq in which he said that assemblies could be dissolved before completion of their constitutional term. He said, “Pakistan Muslim League-N is making statements which are misleading and deceptive.”

The PPP leader said that NA speaker seemed confused as he expressed apprehension of dissolution of assemblies and at the same time he vowed to run the parliament. He said that the elections would be held on time and problems would be resolved soon.

Aitzaz said that the army was not hatching conspiracies against the PML-N while the judiciary was in fact providing it relief. The PML-N was surrounded by the Iqama-related issues, he stated.

He was of the opinion that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif should be punished apart from being disqualified. The PPP leader condemned the recent incident in Multan on Wednesday, in which lawyers protested the shifting of the judicial complex and resorted to vandalizing the new building.

He said that the Supreme Court or the LHC should have been approached by the disgruntled lawyers.
