KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Thursday spoke over the phone to discuss the political situation in the country.
According to reports, Kamal and Imran Khan agreed to hold a meeting. The cricketer-turned-politician is on a visit of the metropolis and earlier during the day, addressed the Karachi Bar.
Reports are doing the rounds that Mustafa Kamal and Imran Khan had earlier met in Dubai where the possibility of an electoral alliance between the two parties had been discussed.
According to a source privy to the meeting, Mustafa Kamal is keen to make an electoral alliance with Khan’s party before the next general elections. PTI, on the other hand, is unwilling to enter into an alliance at this stage, but it is open to other options.
PTI leader Imran Ismail said that he wasn’t aware of any meeting between Imran Khan and Mustafa Kamal.
